Coronavirus was confirmed in 881 children in Ukraine
In Ukraine, 881 children were diagnosed with coronavirus COVID-19. This was reported by the Center for Public Health of Ukraine on Facebook.
"A total of 881 children in Ukraine have confirmed COVID-19. Of this number, 137 children have recovered," the statement said.
It is noted that three children with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have diabetes, one child - liver disease. Two infected children have immunodeficiency, and five have cardiovascular disease. Six patients have chronic lung disease, seven - chronic neurological or neuromuscular diseases.
According to the CHC, ten children are in the intensive care unit. One child is on artificial lung ventilation. Another child is on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (a method of saturating the blood with oxygen during severe acute respiratory failure).
It is noted that most children with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the age group of 10-14 years - 211. 31 children recovered.
Most children with confirmed COVID-19 in Chernivtsi region - 177, of whom 29 recovered; in Kyiv - 102, 2 recovered; in the Kyiv region - 86, 5 recovered; in Rivne region - 55, 2 recovered, in Ternopil region - 61, 12 recovered.
