As reported earlier, in 2015, the consumption of thermal coal by Ukraine’s thermal power plants decreased by a third compared to 2014, down to 27 million tonnes.
According to the ministry, Ukraine raised the volume of own production of thermal and coking coal in 2016 by 2.8%, up to 40.864 million tonnes.
