Civilians were caught in the crossfire again as Yemen’s civil war raged on Monday.

Saudi-led airstrikes in the Red Sea port area of al Hodeidah reportedly hit a hospital among other buildings.

The number of casualties is unclear but on Friday coalition warplanes killed dozens of civilians in the southwestern city of Taiz, according to aid group Medecins Sans Frontieres.

The Saudi-led coalition is fighting Shi’ite Muslim Houthi rebels who seized Yemen’s capital Sanna last September.

Thousands of Houthi protesters took to the city’s streets on Monday to denounce the airstrikes. But with ceasefire attempts getting nowhere, Houthis are also claiming civilian casualties.

Reports from Taiz on Monday say rockets fired by Houthi militiamen killed 14 people
mostly women and children – among the latest victims in a civil war that has killed over 4,300 people.
