Chinese will build a corn processing plant in the Ternopil region
In Chortkiv, Ternopil region, Chinese investors are ready to build a $ 200 million corn processing plant.
The mayor of city Vladimir Shmatko reported about it on the page on Facebook.
"Chinese investors intend to build a corn processing plant within the Chortkiv-West Industrial Park. Further plans include two more. The first plant will produce fructose (the approximate size of the land required for this purpose is 15 hectares), the second - lysine (a natural food additive, mainly for animals), and the third - glutamic acid (also a food additive used as a flavor enhancer). Plant construction should create approximately 1500-1800 jobs.
Recall that in January-September 2019, Ukraine increased its exports of agricultural products by 21.5%. The main importers were the EU, Asia and Africa.
