British American Tobacco closed production in Ukraine
Tobacco factory "V.A.T.-Priluki", which is part of the international group of companies British American Tobacco, closed production on October 11.
It was stated in a letter to the financial director of the company Taras Pavlus in the name of acting Oksana Necheporuk, Head of the Office of Large Taxpayers of the SFS.
In connection with the cessation of production, V.A.T.-Priluki asks to withdraw 25 million excise stamps and return 505 million UAH paid for them.
Earlier, the largest tobacco companies threatened to leave Ukraine because of bill No. 1049. The document completely redistributes financial flows in the tobacco industry. According to the amendment of the people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" Alexander Dubinsky, manufacturing companies will have to sell cigarettes to wholesale companies at a price not exceeding 80% of the maximum retail price.
