Average monthly salaries grows by 18.2% in Ukraine

The average nominal wage in Ukraine made up UAH 10,687 in September 2019, which is 18.2% higher from September 2018, according to the State Statistics Service.

The average nominal wage in Ukraine made up UAH 10,687 in September 2019, which is 18.2% higher from September 2018, according to the State Statistics Service.

The highest average monthly salaries were recorded in the financial and insurance sector – UAH 17,929 (an increase of 12.4% from September 2018), in the information and telecommunications sector - UAH 17,072 (an increase of 19.3%), and in the public administration and defense sector, compulsory social insurance - UAH 15,140 (an increase of 6.5%).

The lowest average salaries in September 2019 were observed in the sectors of temporary accommodation and catering - UAH 6,784 (an increase of 13.2% from September 2018), in the healthcare and social assistance sectors - UAH 6,916 (up 20.7%), and in the education sector - UAH 8,439 (up 17.6%).

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the average nominal salary in September 2018 amounted to UAH 9,042, which was 23.0% higher than in September 2017.
