KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Ukrainian female pilot Nadia Savchenko, who is held in Russia, has been taken from Voronezh jail, her lawyer, Mark Feygin, has reported on Twitter.

"Nadia Savchenko has been taken from Voronezh pre-trial detention center No. 3. This became known only this morning," he said.

According to Feygin, Savchenko was taken on Monday, and her current whereabouts is not known.

"We expect an official report from investigators on the whereabouts of Nadia Savchenko," the lawyer said.

Another lawyer of the pilot, Nikolai Polozov, also said that he didn't know where Savchenko was at the moment. "I couldn't find Savchenko in jail. The administration reported that she was moved on September 22, but didn't say where. We are beginning to search for her," he wrote on Twitter.
