Ukraine in Arabic | Ukraine to compensate for its losses due to limitations on the Russian market
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Acting Economic Development and Trade Minister Anatoliy Maksiuta said that Ukraine will cover Russian market losses with exports to Europe.
"Our specialists have done some research, and it has turned out that if measured in monetary terms, we'll be able to compensate significantly for Russian market losses with achievements on the European markets - virtually by 100%. Hоwever, the structure [of trade] is different, and I'm not saying that what was previously exported to Russia will be exported to Europe – it won't. But if more end products, for example, railway cars, were exported to Russia, Europe is the market for some companies that produce car components, and they have considerably boosted exports there. These are structurally different things, but this means that Ukraine can find compensation," Maksiuta told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday.
