Ukraine in Arabic | The roundtable dedicated to the Human Rights Day held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On December 10th, The rights of ethnic communities in the contemporary Ukrainian society roundtable discussion dedicated to the International Human Rights Day took place at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The event was organized by Ukrainian Nationalities Assembly (UNA) and The For You All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation. It was attended by many leaders of ethnic communities, diplomats, human rights activists, community leaders, government officials and representatives of national minorities and non-governmental organizations. The roundtable discussion was opened by the head of UNA Rovshan Tagiyev.
He told about the importance of Human Rights Day for all people in general and minorities in particular. It was said that Ukraine is extremely tolerant country where the nationality of citizens isn’t important.
The event was also attended by representatives of The International Union civil organization (IU). One of the members of IU Aleksander Kharchenko said that equal rights and opportunities for all Ukrainian citizens are officially declared and properly executed.
