The armed forces of Iraq began today, large-scale storm Tikrit from insurgents grouping “Islamic state”. In the occurrence participate Shiite and Kurdish militias.

The Prime Minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi ordered the attack on Sunday.

Haider al-Abadi: “Our goal is to free people from oppression and terror IGIL. We must protect citizens and their property”.

The liberation of the province of Salah-ed-DIN will allow the Iraqi army to launch an offensive in Mosul, the second largest city of Iraq, on the North of the country. The liberation of the Northern province of Ninawa and access to the Syrian border is scheduled for April.
