The masjid is in the centre of Shikarpur city, where about 150,000 people live.
The injured were being taken to the nearby government-run civil hospital."Such attacks cannot lessen the spirit of the nation," said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan shortly after what has happened.
That is already second attack on Shiite masjid since Pakistani security forces started up operations against the organization Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
