Ukraine in Arabic | Salman Sadayev: the ethno-national policy is needed to be developed
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On Thursday, October 16th, the issue of ethnic policy developing and the return of the Committee for National Minorities and Religions of Ukraine was raised during an official meeting between the Speaker of Ukraine’s Parliament Oleksandr Turchynov, representatives of DUMU (Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims) and national minorities.
The Speaker agreed that such a committee is necessary for Ukraine and said that Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) intends to return it.
The head of the Diaspora of the Chechen people organization Salman Sadayev said that the only thing that prevents the establishment of the Committee is the lack of funds in the budget. ”Let's not wait until the issue will raised more”, - he said.
The parties discussed a number of important issues, including the interactions between government and the country's ethnic minorities, as well as the difficult situation in the south-east of Ukraine and Crimea.
