Ukraine in Arabic | Russian humanitarian convoy arrives to Ukraine
KYIV/Ukraine in arabic/ Russian aid convoy held up on the Ukrainian border for days is on the move toward Luhansk.
"Our humanitarian aid convoy is starting to move towards Luhansk," Russia's foreign ministry says.
Reporters at the border witnessed lorries moving off towards Ukraine.
Ukraine fears that the aid convoy, which arrived at the border more than a week ago, is part of a broader Russian intervention in eastern Ukraine.
Russia denies accusations that it arms and trains the rebels in the rebellion in Luhansk and the neighbouring region of Donetsk, where four months of fighting have left more than 2,000 people dead and has caused more than 330,000 people to flee their homes.
Yesterday, on August 21, Ukrainian State Border Guard Service confirm clearance of Russian humanitarian cargo, said Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council.
The rebel-held city of Luhansk has been without running water, power and phone communications for 20 days as government forces hold it under siege.
