Ukraine in Arabic | Ethnonational community will start work with National Museum of Ukrainian history

The main topic of discussion was the issue of preservation of national and cultural heritage of national minorities, as an integral part of culture of the Ukrainian state and the allocation of the hall in National Museum of history of Ukraine to host the exposition, devoted to the role of ethnic communities in Ukraine's history.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The Chairman of the Commission for interethnic relations of the public Council under the Ministry of culture of Ukraine Larisa Abramovich and Deputy Chairman of the Commission, the Hope of Efimed held a meeting with the Director General of the National Museum of history of Ukraine Tatiana Sosnowski.

During the meeting they discussed possible forms of presentation of the material in the exposition, the need for modernization of approaches with the use of modern methods of presenting information, methods of forming ideas of Museum visitors through interpretation exhibits and installations about the role and place of ethnic and national communities in the Kiev region, the need to involve representatives of ethnic communities to the collection of material for the exhibition.

The results of the meeting were announced during the extraordinary meeting of the Commission for interethnic relations, which was held on 10 April 2015 and discussed with the members of the Commission.

During the discussion it was decided the need to form a Working group of Commission members and representatives of ethnic communities not included in the Commission for the purpose of defining and developing the vision, context and presentation aspects of the role of ethnic communities in the development of the Kiev region, highlighting the culture, life and religion, the specificity and distinctive features of ethnic and national communities in the region.

Before the Working group members will be challenged to analyze and exhibition samples, which are in the possession of ethnic and national societies, to prepare a summary list of exhibits (Museum objects and their photos), for the purpose of planning and selection of exhibits suitable for involvement and representation in the exhibition in accordance with the scientific concept of the Museum.

In addition, representatives of ethnic communities will be brought to the collection etnograficheskogo material and exhibits of ethnographic, material folk culture, religious items, which can demonstrate the material and spiritual culture of the multinational population living in the Kiev region.
