Ukraine in Arabic | Day of Chechen people cultures was held in Ukraine
Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ May 13, was held in Zhytomyr event dedicated to the Day of culture of the Chechen people. The event was held in the premises of the Zhytomyr regional library.
According to the Chairman of the Board of the organization, Salman Sadaeva, the event aims to familiarize with the ordinary Ukrainian history and culture of the Chechen people, to dispel some preconceived prejudices and to promote the integration of representatives of mountain people in the Ukrainian society.
"The purpose of the Diaspora is to protect the legitimate interests, rights and freedoms of citizens, the approval of the national identity of Diaspora members, increase their cultural and educational level, facilitating their emergence as full-fledged members of society. We strongly believe that this can be achieved through the development and strengthening of cultural ties," he said.
Social activist added that in 2011-2013, with the support of the organization was conducted a number of activities of cultural and educational nature, including festivals, days of culture and literature, meetings with writers and artists. Particularly successful are the festivals of Ukrainian-Chechen friendship "From the Dnieper to Terek", which has already hosted performances by famous Chechen state ensemble "Vainakh" and children's ensemble "ballam". According to him, cultural, educational and sports activities, as well as social initiatives have been a major contribution in overcoming the negative image of Chechens in Ukraine. At the end of his speech Salman Sadayev expressed gratitude to the President of the Chechen Diaspora Goncharov Danila and her representatives Zhytomyr cells, and also stressed that the public organization "the Diaspora of the Chechen people" works in the Ukrainian legal field dealing exclusively cultural, educational, legal and migration issues Chechens living in Ukraine.
After his performance, visitors are invited to view a film about the activities of the Diaspora and listen to a detailed lecture on the geography, history and culture of the Chechen people. The real highlight of the celebration was the performance of poems and songs in Ukrainian and Chechen languages. At the end of the official part was rewarding gifts of representatives of local government, public organizations and diasporas, each of whom expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the celebration and assured the public the intentions for further cooperation with the NGO "the Diaspora of the Chechen people" for the common cause of development of the Ukrainian state.
After the official part the guests of the festival had the opportunity to visit the exhibition dedicated to the culture of the Chechen people. Among the exhibits were authentic national costumes, musical instruments, weapons, works of folk art, photo albums, photographs and the like.
