Ukraine developing modern anti-aircraft missile system

It will replace obsolete Soviet models Modern anti-aircraft missile system was developed by Ukraine for replacing obsolete Soviet models. Such information appeared on official website of the Ministry of Defense with reference to the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Chief of the anti-aircraft missile forces command of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Stavskiy, said Ukraine is constantly enhancing combat capabilities of its anti-aircraft missile forces.
"This year, the units will receive more reconstructed and modernized complexes of various modifications, such as S-300, S-125, and Buk," he said.
Stavskiy said "work continues at defense enterprises to create own air defense systems, which would replace obsolete Soviet-made weapons."
