It was earlier announced that over 1,000 servicemen of Iran have been killed in the Arab country The bodies of three fighters killed in armed clashes in Syria have been buried in Iranian city of Qom, IRNA news agency reported.
The report did not provide further information on the killed individuals and their nationalities.
It was earlier announced that over 1,000 servicemen deployed by Iran to Syria to back President Bashar al-Assad’s government have been killed in the Arab country since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
Following the outbreak of the Syrian crisis, Iran has reportedly set up Zeinabioun brigade of Pakistani Shia nationals and the Fatemioun brigade of Afghan Shia fighters to support President Bashar al-Assad's government against armed opposition groups.
