Russian MFA told USA was invited at peace talks in Astana

The talks are scheduled for January 23 The United States has been invited to attend upcoming talks on the Syrian crisis in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, Russian Foreign Minister Serghiei Lavrov said on Thursday.
The announcement came two days after Russia said it considered inviting representatives of the incoming Trump administration and United Nations to be opportune.
The talks are scheduled for January 23.
As early reporeted, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has said peace talks next week in the Kazakh capital will focus on enforcing a cessation of hostilities to allow aid access across his war-torn country.
