The national flag raising ceremony was accompanied by the Ukrainian hymn performed by a military band, and volleys. Government members, officials and other guests also took part in the celebration. In addition, the event was attended by veterans-defenders of Ukraine, servicepersons of various military branches.
After raising the flag, the Ukrainian president awarded honorary names to a number of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Border Service.
