FOR FIVE MONTHS ELECTRIC POWER CONSUMPTION DECREASED BY 5% - UKRENERGO
NEC “Ukrenergo” reports that in the five months of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, the decrease in electricity consumption in the unified energy system (UES) of Ukraine amounted to 4.9% 49.7 billion kWh compared to 52.3 billion kWh).
In May 2020, electricity consumption in the unified energy system (ECO) of Ukraine decreased by 4.9% compared to the same period in 2019 (8.9 billion kWh compared to 9.4 billion kWh).
The largest decline in May was demonstrated by the transport sector (-27%), machine-building industry (-18.1%), public utilities (-14.8%), food and processing industry (-8.4%), metallurgy (- 8.1%). At the same time, electricity consumption in the population group grew by 6.2%, and in the chemical industry sector - by 10%.
