Ukrainian train company will increase cost for services up to 22%
During the presentation of the draft financial plan "Ukrzaliznytsya" for 2020, which previously increased the time for pre-purchase of tickets, it became known that next year the cost of tickets for passenger transportation will increase in price.
This was reported by the press service of the Center for Transport Strategies.
Passenger traffic revenue will increase by 8% and total revenue by 13% in 2020. At the same time, freight rates will rise by 2.5% each quarter.
"It is planned to index the wagon component in four stages for a total of 8.5% per year. And the tariffs for passenger transportation seem to be waiting for creeping indexation - plus 2% for 10 months starting in March - as a result, an increase of 22% relative to the beginning of the year, "the press service said.
Ukrzaliznytsia expects passenger revenue to increase by 8%.
