President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
The heads of state discussed preparations for the meeting in the Normandy format.
The President of Ukraine informed of the security situation in Donbas, noting the importance of the German position in support of our country.
Angela Merkel expressed support for Ukraine's efforts aimed to bring peace to Donbas and welcomed the progress achieved in the separation of forces in Zolote. The prospects of troops separation near Petrivske after seven days of silence were also discussed.
The parties also discussed the issue of Russian gas transit through the territory of Ukraine, in particular in connection with the Ukraine-EU-RF trilateral consultations held on October 28 in Brussels. The interlocutors agreed with the need for increased interaction in this direction.
