Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry working on arranging phone call between Zelensky and Merkel
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar held a meeting with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Anka Feldhusen, the press service of the Foreign Ministry has reported.
Bodnar noted Germany's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the implementation of domestic reforms in our state.
Other main topics of the conversation were the maintenance of bilateral dialogue; the importance of the leaders of Ukraine and Germany having a telephone conversation to discuss the recent aggravation of the situation in Donbas; the urgent holding of a meeting in the Normandy format.
The sides noted the great potential for interaction in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership initiative and agreed upon the importance of continuing joint action to counter hybrid threats from Russia.
