Ukraine in Arabic | The CIS summit in Moscow will pass without the President of Ukraine, Moldova and Uzbekistan
Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The heads of state of Moldova, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will not take part in the informal summit of CIS countries in Moscow on may 8. It is reported the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, the event will be attended by the presidents 8 of 11 States parties. Absent will be the presidents of Moldova Nicolae Timofti and his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov, who in the past regularly attended the public meetings. The summit will also ignore the Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko.
It is reported that the leaders of Ukraine after the overthrow of former President Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014 and shall refrain from participation in the CIS summits.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin recently took part in the meeting of foreign Ministers of the CIS in Kyrgyzstan, where the country's withdrawal from the Union did not.
