Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ Under the bill, "from the beginning of the special period and taking into account all threats to national security of Ukraine in the military sphere, which can be long-term, two control operational commands, 11 teams, four regiments, 18 battalions, 16 individual companies and 13 platoons for different purposes will be generated in the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
"For the timely deployment of a certain group of forces, the Ukrainian armed forces should consist of 250,000 people,” the bill reads.
“In addition, the number of staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special period is not permanent and can be changed in accordance with changes in the military-political situation, depending on the decision-making and mobilization activities.
The number of Armed Forces of Ukraine in a special period proposed to increase the number of personnel called up for military service during mobilization..."
As UNIAN reported earlier, Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian army is being revived at the cost of enormous effort, and the size of the Ukrainian armed forces will reach 250,000 people in 2015.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk also said earlier that the government plansned to increase the size of the armed forces, from 68 000 to 250 000 people.
