Ukraine in Arabic | German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the Minsk ceasefire is still being violated

Merkel insists on full ceasefire in Donbas. Ukraine is doing its best to fulfill all the 13 clauses of the Minsk accords. Ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Berlin on Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the Minsk ceasefire needed to be enforced, Deutsche Welle reported.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ Ukraine is doing its best to fulfill all the 13 clauses of the Minsk accords. Ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Berlin on Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the Minsk ceasefire needed to be enforced, Deutsche Welle reported.

"On the basis of February's Minsk agreement," Merkel said on Wednesday, "we must realize that we are not yet where we want to be. We still don't have a complete ceasefire," she added.

According to her, Ukraine has deserved every support on its road to peace, and Germany wants to provide this support.

Poroshenko in turn added that Ukraine is doing its best to fulfill all the 13 clauses of the Minsk accords, seeking the full ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the line of contact in Donbas.
