Ukraine has updated the record for collecting grain
Ukrainian farmers collected more than 74 million tons of grain and leguminous crops from an area of 15 million hectares. This was announced by Minister of Economic Development Timofei Milovanov on Facebook. According to him, 4.93 tons of grain are harvested on average per hectare of agricultural land. Last year, the yield was lower - 4.7 tons / ha.
"Record crop yields. 74.3 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from an area of 15 million hectares," Milovanov wrote.
The fact that last year's grain harvest was exceeded in Ukraine was reported on November 12 (70.8 million tons) on the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex. It was noted that last year the gross yield was at the level of 70.1 million tons.
