Russia bypassed Iran in the number of cases of COVID-19: 6.4 thousand new cases per day, total 93.5 thousand infected
Over 6.4 thousand new cases of infection with COVID-19 coronavirus were registered in Russia over the past day, the total number of registered diagnoses in the country reached 93.5 thousand.
This is reported by the operational headquarters of the Russian Federation.
"Over the past 24 hours in Russia confirmed cases of coronavirus infection COVID-19 - 6411 in 83 regions, including 2609 (40.7%) cases that were detected as contact and without clinical manifestations," the headquarters said on Tuesday.
In total, 93 558 cases (+ 7.4%) of coronavirus infection in 85 regions of the Russian Federation were registered in Russia, they added at headquarters. Russia surpassed Iran in this indicator, where, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, there are 91,472 confirmed diagnoses. On the eve, as reported, in the total number of cases, Russia overtook China (now - 83,918 diagnoses).
Of 93.5 thousand diagnoses in Russia, 3075 were registered per day in Moscow. Thus, the total number of diagnoses in the capital of the Russian Federation has grown to 48,426, follows from the headquarters.
