Russia banned entry for Ukrainian journalist for 34 years

Russian security officials handed him a decree according to which until the end of May 2054 he was forbidden to visit Russia

Border guards of the Russian FSB banned entry into the Russian Federation and occupied Crimea for more than 30 years for Ukrainian journalist Taras Ibragimov, .

According to Ibragimov, on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea, Russian security officials handed him a decree according to which until the end of May 2054 he was forbidden to visit Russia and the occupied peninsula. They refused to provide explanations regarding the reasons for the ban to the journalist.

“I directly connect this with my journalistic activity and my work for publications that actively cover the trials of Crimean Tatars in Crimea and in Russia,” he explained.

The journalist noted that Russian border guards took fingerprints from him and took a picture, after which they released him.
