Kyiv prepared 800 beds in seven hospitals in the event of a second wave of coronavirus.

The mayor of Kyiv, chairman of the Kiev City State Administration (KSCA) Vitali Klitschko said this at a briefing.

“I want to note that the first wave hospitals, designed for almost 900 beds, are filled by 31%. If necessary, the city has prepared almost 800 beds in seven hospitals of the capital for the second wave,” he said.

Klitschko expressed the hope that they would not be needed.

The mayor of Kyiv also called on residents to comply with anti-epidemic rules.

Over the past day in Kyiv laboratory confirmed the disease COVID-19 in another 104 residents of the capital. Today, there are already 5,242 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the capital.

Most cases were found in Darnytskyi district - 18, in the Dnieper - 15, Goloseevsky and Svyatoshinsky districts - 15 cases each.
