Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has taken part in the presentation of the first transparent police office at the city's Lukianivska subway station. "Every day 1.5 million people use the Kyiv subway. About 70,000 passengers pass through this station per day. Many people turn to the police for help. This office is an absolutely transparent room with glass walls. Everyone sees what is happening here and how the police work," Klitschko said.

The room is designed according to transparent office standards. Law enforcement officers can monitor the situation at the station in real time through a video surveillance system and respond quickly to any calls. Passengers will be able to turn to this office regarding lost documents, belongings or in case of violation of law and order. An automated external defibrillator to assist passengers is also available at the transparent police office. "The project will work in pilot mode so far. Law enforcement officers will analyze the work in this format in the coming months. And, if it proves its effectiveness, such offices will open at the busiest subway stations, at the transfer hubs," Klitschko added.
