Iran agreed to give "black boxes" of the downed Boeing 737 to Ukraine

With the subsequent transfer to France in case additional expertise is needed

Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko said that Iran agreed to hand over to Ukraine "black boxes" of a passenger plane of UIA, which was shot down near Tehran on January 8.

Shevchenko wrote about this on his Twitter page.

According to him, the representative of Iran Farhad Parvaresh at the ICAO Council in Montreal announced the agreement of official Tehran to transfer the flight recorders.

"Iran agrees to send" black boxes "to Ukraine with the subsequent transfer to France in case additional expertise is needed," Shevchenko quotes Parvaresh.
