Houthis allegedly vandalized and destroyed hundreds of mosques
Since the houthis' uprising in early 2015, there were vandalized and destroyed roughly 299 mosques.
According to the official SABA news agency, the report, published in a special communications program, which hold by Yemeni relogious scholars, states that 29 mosques were destroyed or bombed with Huthis forces.
Houthis since they took over Yemen in several provinces, adding that 24 others were severely targeted and part of them were destroyed. 146 mosques were transformed into military barracks and sniper’s spots.
The report, partially affiliated with Sunni leaders, claimed that the soldiers were engaging in looting, for example run-out food supplies intended for the poor, as well as different equipment and computers.
Indeed, some photos of destroyed or transformed mosques taken by Houthis, wbecame viral in Internet.
At the same time as a result of bombing, being held by Saudi forces, also destroyed many mosques and historical monuments, particularly the temple of al-Hadi.
