EU-Russia-Ukraine gas negotiations to be held on September
Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic has confirmed that the EU-Russia-Ukraine gas negotiations will be held on September 19.
In a post on his Twitter account, he wrote: “Pleased to announce that I will host the next round of Trilateral Gas Talks on 19 September. I am convinced that progress would send a strong positive signal to market as well as consumers ahead of the winter season”.
the European Union and the Russian Federation agreed to hold trilateral gas talks with Ukraine until the end of September. Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic had earlier stated that the exact date would be announced shortly after negotiations with the Ukrainian side.
The contract for the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine expires on December 31, 2019.
