"Completing a dream" solar impulse lands after fuel-free round-world-trip

The first round-the-world flight powered only by the sun has come full circle. Landing in Abu Dhabi after 500 hours in the air, the Solar Impulse has broken 19 aviation records, and has now made history for clean energy air travel. It was a dream 17 years in the making for the Swiss team. Pulling into the hangar for the last time, pilot Bertrand Piccard said, ‘it’s like science fiction, but this is the reality and the future.’
