Investigators believe that the missile was fired from the Russian air defense system "Buk"

The International Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has witnessed the launch of a rocket that crashed a Boeing-777 Malaysian Airlines over the occupied Donbass on July 17, 2014.
This was stated by JIT Chairman Fred Westerbeke on CBS.

"I would say there is an eyewitness (rocket launch - edit.) And how much, I would not say how much," - said Westerbeke.

According to him, investigators believe that the missile was fired from the Russian air defense system "Buk".

At the same time, Westerbeke emphasized, there is no doubt that this Buk missile system belonged to the 53rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

He emphasized that during these five years the Russian Federation did not help at all in the investigation. "They (Russia - Ed.) Should have provided us with all the information and all the evidence needed in this complex investigation. They should have told us the day after it happened: 'We made a mistake' or 'We did something we didn't they had to take the initiative. But it wasn't done, "Westerbeke said.

It was reported that a passenger Boeing-777 "Malaysian Airlines" flying MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down over the occupied part of the Donbass on July 17, 2014. There were 283 passengers and 15 crew on board, all of them dead.
