Arab countries bypassed Ukraine in spending on defense

In 2018 Ukraine spent on defense 3.8% of GDP Arab countries spend the most on defense. This is evidenced by the data of the World Bank, which published statistics on spending on defense in relation to GDP.
In the overall ranking, Saudi Arabia took the first position - in 2018, the country spent 8.8% of GDP on defense. Oman (8.2%) and the United Arab Emirates (5.6%) took the second and third positions, respectively.
In 2018 Ukraine spent on defense 3.8% of GDP. This is one of the highest rates in Europe.
Among European countries, more than Ukraine, only Armenia - 4.8% and Russia - 3.9% spent on defense.
