2016 in pictures: impressive images from the wars in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Libya
British portal IBTimes decided to look at the past year in the light of the most terrible wars that are ripping Middle East. For your consideration represented about 50 photos from different parts of the Middle East and the epicenters of the fightings.
Some results of the past year:
- The fight for Aleppo was won by President Assad's forces and its allies: Russia, Iran and Shiitemilitants.
- Iraqi troops and allies began a military campaign for the retaking of the main stronghold of the ISIS - Mosul.
- In Yemen has been violated ceasefire, continuing a two-year civil war, which began with the capture of the capital Sana by Iranian-backed Shiite insurgents - Huthis.
- In Libya the "Islamic State" has finally lost the city of Sirte, thus leaving attempts to expand its "pseudokhalifat" in North Africa.
