The National Bank of Ukraine on Thursday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by five kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.90 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for March 10: $100 costs UAH 2,690.8632 (on March 9, it was UAH 2,695.9467); EUR 100 costs UAH 2,839.1298 (on March 9, it was UAH 2,851.2332); 10 RUB costs UAH 4.5738 (on March 9, it was UAH 4.6272).
On Thursday, March 9, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 26.85/26.89 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 28.3240/28.3635, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4643/0.4653. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.9086 to the dollar, with 450 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $223.18 million.
