The US Ambassador to Ukraine visited DUMU

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On August 14th, a new US Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payyatt and Second Secretary Tim Pergalski made an official visit to Religious Administration on Ukrainians Muslims (DUMU). The diplomat congratulated the Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim with the passed holiday of Eid al-Fitr and got acquainted with the life of the Ukrainian Muslims, the DUMU’s press service reported.

Sheikh Akhmed Tamim and members of the Board briefed the guests on the work of DUMU, which aimed at the cohesion of multiethnic Ukrainian society, development of a constructive dialogue between the representatives of other faiths and spread of the true knowledge of Islam.

The Ambassador Payyat expressed his admiration of the work of the DUMU and the desire to maintain friendly relations.
