Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov said that the rate of hospitalizations of patients with COVID-19 has increased by more than 40% over the past month.
"This morning, 5,549 people are hospitalized, that is, hospitalized. If you take the figure that was a month ago, July 11, it is 3913 people. You can see the number of people in hospitals being treated for COVID-19 during this time. And this number is increasing every day, "he said at a briefing.
According to Stepanov, for the third day in a row, hospitals in Lviv region are more than 50% full. Second-wave hospitals have already begun to be deployed in regions with a high prevalence of coronavirus. Their bed stock does not exceed 10 thousand throughout Ukraine.
"We have to understand that no matter how much we anticipate, there is a limit. That is why we are concerned. That is why we are talking about a tense situation with the development of COVID-19, "said the Foreign Minister.
