An official iftar to be held in Kiev’s Ar-Rahma mosque

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On Thursday, July 3 at 9:15 p.m. the official iftar (breaking fast-traditional dinner in the month of Ramadan) will be organized at The Ar-Rahma mosque in Kiev.

Event is organized by Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims.

According to preliminary information, the official dinner will be attended by heads of diplomatic missions in Ukraine, representatives of the Ukrainian state authorities, public and non-governmental organizations, Muslim diasporas and media.

Besides, the representative of one of the most prestigious Muslim religious University The Al-Azhar will be the special guests of the event.

At the month of Ramadan from sunrise to sunset Muslims all over the world  refuse eating, drinking, smoking and sexual intimacy.

In Ukraine Ramadan has begun on June 29.
